Materials:

Speckled Roman Tomato seeds (organic, if possible)
Seed starting mix or potting soil
Seed starting trays or containers with drainage holes
Clear plastic wrap or a plastic dome to cover the trays
Grow lights or a sunny window
Water
Fertilizer (organic, if possible)
Garden stakes or trellis

Steps:

Fill your seed starting trays or containers with seed starting mix or potting soil.
Plant the Speckled Roman Tomato seeds about 1/4 inch deep in the soil, and cover with a thin layer of soil.
Water the seeds gently, making sure not to disturb them too much.
Cover the trays with clear plastic wrap or a plastic dome to create a greenhouse effect that will keep the soil moist and warm.
Place the trays in a warm, sunny location or under grow lights.
Keep the soil moist by watering as needed.
Once the seeds have germinated and the plants have grown a few inches tall, remove the plastic covering.
Continue to care for the seedlings by keeping the soil moist and providing fertilizer as needed.
When the seedlings have grown to be about 6 inches tall, transplant them to larger containers or outdoors into a garden bed.
If planting in a garden bed, make sure to stake or trellis the plants as they grow to provide support for the heavy fruit.
